I just wanted to share a few photos so you can see what I saw today :-) I went along with Brit Boy to see a client and I snapped these photos as we drove by.
We were down around The New Forest and I caught sight of these beautiful horses that were grazing along the edge.
In The New Forest they are allowed to roam free like this and they are so beautiful and tranquil looking. I love going through there. We were going to a place called Nomansland. It's a real place and I think it's cool that I can say I've been to "no man's land" :-) I wrote about going through there before in a previous post here. Nomansland is within the boundaries of The New Forest. It's a lovely place.
And on the way home, we had to drive by Stonehenge. I know I've shared photos of it before, but one of my favorite games I play is trying to get a photo of it as we drive by at the speed limit. I'm easily amused. LOL. Here's my latest effort.

I've been to Nomansland, Dori. It certainly is in a beautiful location. I used to commute a couploe of days a week from North Dorset to Southampton and always chose to go through the New Forest from Fordingbridge to see those lovely ponies. I used to drive past asignpost to Nomansland and one day I just decided to take a look.
those horses are awesome, and i am so envious of you that you are able to go to stonehenge any time. that has always been one of my dreams. maybe my next life time.
have a wonderful day...hugz!
There is always a sense of freedom that I feel when I look at horses, particularly when they are galloping. They are such beautiful animals. You did a great job with the Stonehenge photo. A lot of photos I take are on the fly and I am not always so lucky to have a clear photo.
Love the Stonehenge shot, Dori! The tourists make it. So does the fence.
I want to go now!!! I never knew such a beautiful and peaceful place existed. I love the horses roaming free. Thank you for telling me!!!
As a lover of the earth, this is my kind of place. I've seen your previous post about it and I fell in love with it back then.
Great picture, even at the speed limit. :-)
OMG! Was that Stonehenge?
Good catch of the Stonehedge. You are getting better and better at it :o)
Miss ya!
There's something you don't see every day. Great pics! :O)
I just wanted to stop by and say hello Dori. I hope all is well with you and your family.
God bless,
Jodi
Those horses are so pretty. The scenery is very calming. Thanks for sharing!
Incredible photos. What a beautiful place.
That photo of Stonehenge came out pretty good considering you were driving along as you took it.
I love the forest too Dori. I live very close to it and know the area you are talking about. If you like walking and don't mind a bit of up and down, try Long Slade Bottom near Sway. A great choice of walks either up the slope and along the ridge or down what used to be many years ago an old railway line through the forest. The railway has long gone but the raised path it took is a wonderful way to walk down towards Holmsley Tearooms!!
Have a great weekend!!
I love the horse Dori they are so very peaceful looking!!
Why do horses just always seem so peaceful?
LOL...I love your game and it's one I know well.
When I decide to go out with Walter on the truck I play this game all day trying to get pictures as we are moving.
It's not an easy task!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
Jackie:-)
Thanks everyone for your comments :) I'm so glad you enjoyed my photos of the horses...aren't they beautiful :) That is one of my very favorite places. It always just calms me down immediately...there's just something about the tranquility of horses that look like they haven't a care in the world :) And yeah, my Stonehenge photo turned out better than I thought. You should see me when I take pictures like that. Brit Boy is driving along and I'm on the other side clicking away with my camera like a crazy woman. LOL. We make a great team.
And June, thanks for the tip on the walk. That's just our kind of thing :) We'll definitely be doing that. What a great tour guide you are :)
Have a great weekend everyone!
Loved the photos of the horses. They are beautiful. The Stonehenge photos make me feel so old because I remember when it was just out there with no walls around it. So different now.
Horses are my absolute favorite!! Beautiful photos!
