Yesterday I went out into the wilds of Wiltshire with Brit Boy :-) It turned out to be a pretty day, after a bit of a yucky start weather-wise. Brit Boy had a gap between two appointments that he had, so we pulled over into a roadside rest spot and waited. The road turned out to be more busy than it originally looked and was certainly more busy than Brit Boy remembered from his days before we met, but still it was a lovely spot :-)
You would never know that I took such tranquil pictures while a constant stream of traffic went past just out of the sight line of my camera. I love finding peace, even in the midst of the world hurrying by :-)
So I’d like to share a few photos that I took as we blocked out the traffic and tuned in to the beauty existing right alongside it all. I hope you enjoy coming along with me and Brit Boy! Please take a breather with us for just a moment and soak the peace in :-) I love that the new leaves are finally showing up on the trees. I love that new green of spring!
On these last two, I started to play with the black and white setting on my camera. They didn't turn out stellar, but I like them. I just like having fun and seeing how it all turns out. I just love black and white photos :-)
I hope that you enjoyed taking a peek at what we got up to yesterday :-)

I love the b&w ones Dori :-)
Beautiful. I honestly believe if "Nature" was required learning in schools, it could make a slightly positive impact on others' behavior toward humanity. (sigh)
Great pictures as always, and it was wonderful to pause for a bit in such a nice spot, with my favourite person in the whole world :-)
You are right that you would never imagine traffic nearby. It looks so peaceful!!!!
Your Photos are beautiful Dori. so have you got paintshoppro ? you can use the sepia tone setting and get some really great pics that way too. I use it alot for album cover and design work.
so how is the spring this year in the countryside ? buttercups blooming yet ? moss growing on the trees yet ? had your first butter fly by yet :)
I remember last years shots of the garden and I'll be looking forward to them this year again.
btw, you are next weeks' feature on BadGalsRadio Mamm. let you know which day later by message.

Cheers,
Eliz
Isn't it great that Peace is everywere you are? The trees were just as happy to see you both stopping and taking the time to be still with them... They were breathing as you were and saying to each other as they felt your presence, "I love finding peace."
You know it has become a proven fact that trees communicate to with other!
Haven't been around and just wanted to stop by and say hi! Thank you for sharing such tranquil expressions of joy!
Did I needed a breather today! So thank you. It was crazy at work. I'm glad to be home and relax. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend :)
Yes, sometimes we need to crop real life out! LOL!
What great photos. It is amazing what beautiful spots can be missed on the side of the road as people zoom by on their way to someplace else.
wow ur a pro in photography.congrats
Agnes,
So glad you like them :)
Jacqueline,
We are on the same page with that one. I think we all could use a moment to be in the moment :)
BritBoy,
Aww, same here :)
Heidi,
It was an interesting situation where two opposites were at the same place :)
RE Ausetkmt,
No, I don't have Paint Shop Pro, but it is on my list. Thanks for the info :) I have Adobe Photoshop and I like to play with it sometimes. The spring has been coming a bit slow since it has been rather cool, but now it's finally coming through a bit. The buttercups have come. No butterflies yet around our house, but I did see one at the spot we were at. I'll probably do another butterfly video this year whenever they show up here :) And I'll definitely share some gardeny shots once things spring out. It's really slow this year. And THANK YOU so much for the feature! :) I'll be looking forward to it.
ElizOF,
Thanks for the award! You're the best! :)
Vchelle,
Absolutely! I believe this. When we were sitting there, the wind would rustle through and the trees were just alive. There was nowhere better to be at that moment :) Thanks for stopping by! Lots of love to you!
Ivanhoe,
I'm so glad you were able to take a moment and take a breath. I hope that today was a calmer day :) Hugs to you!
Ferd,
Exactly! LOL.
Anne,
Thanks :) So true. I thought the same thing while we were sitting there.
Imelda,
Thank you so much for your sweet compliment :)
I love photographing trees. They carry a life, decades, century.
I went back here cos to bring a sentence of a fabulous writer (Fernando Sabino):
The value of things is not the time they last, but the intensity with which they occur. Thus there are unforgettable moments, inexplicable things and incomparable people.
Cheers
The photos are beautiful!
Sissym,
Yes, trees are amazing and I could photograph them all day. I love how you said this..."they carry a life, decades, century". That is so true :) And I LOVE this quote. Thank you so much. I'm going to write it down and memorize it.
Renee,
I'm so glad you like them :)
Nice and refreshing blog yours! I lived in England too, for more than a year and I had an English boyfriend for more than two years, but you win me in both things! I'll come back to your blog, regards from Spain!
Nieves,
